Are they all interchangeable and are any of them different from others in the model range??
i.e will a rev 1 be a compatable direct swap on a rev 3??

Re: Mk2 front struts....
Any strut from any car will fit, the difference being that Rev1's are rebuildable whereas Rev2+ aren't.
Re: Mk2 front struts....
Thanks, that's good news then.
Non of them have like stiffer dampers or anything on the basic struts??

Re: Mk2 front struts....
Ah, well that's a different question lol.
There are various differences in damping rates. E.g. turbos had stiffer dampers than N/A, yellow billies are stiffer still (normal turbos are black billies) etc.
I'm sure Peter put up a list a while ago on what's what. Might be worth having a search..

Re: Mk2 front struts....
The difference between rev1 and rev2 suspension is mostly in the springs then?
Re: Mk2 front struts....
Rev 1 has different front Castor arms. Whether these effect the strut casing I.e you need different strut for rev 1 vs 2 I don't know.

No. The castor arm secures to the lower suspension arm, not the actual strut itself.

+1 correct the only difference is that the front of the castor arm is adjustable on the earlier revisions. I don't know why Toyota didn't do this on later ones, a great mod if you can do it.
