[Mk2] [Generic] interference/crackling/whining

Post by DanT »

Tried to read through some other threads first to no avail. .

Im running a stock active system bar the Ken wood head unit.

I had to change the iso lead as the original pulled itself apart. .

However I now get a whining noise from the speakers which seems to change with the engine revs.

Also there's a crackling noise from behind passengers seat intermittently.

Would appreciate any help as wiring is the one thing I don't do lol.

From my basic knowledge I would guess at maybe a bad earth somewhere? Or perhaps something to do with rewiring something behind the head unit?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like alternator whine. It'll be a bad earth or something similar.

What iso lead are you using??

Have a look here....

Im having the same problem but my iso lead has the connections mentioned in that thread in the correct place.

Thing is, my buzzing sound is coming from front left speaker, and its not even connected up on the head unit.
