What size lower engine mount for a rev1 turbo? Are they worth it? Including poll

Post by moscoworbust »

Hi,

I want to buy the polyurethane engine mounts for my MR2 Rev 1 turbo import.

The advert says there are three sizes. can anyone tell me what size I need so I don't have to take it out twice.

"PLEASE CONFIRM WHETHER YOU NEED THE 73MM, 79MM OR 83.5MM REAR LOWER ENGINE MOUNT FRONT BUSH. PLEASE MEASURE THE INTERNAL DIAMETER OF THE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET WITH THE ORIGINAL SLEEVES REMOVED"

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERFLEX-BUS ... 35c0ebb11c

Thanks

Was it you that txt my phone the same question? If so i'll repeat the answer i gave then. If not, then apologies.

All turbo mounts are the same size. End of.

All turbo mount bolts are the same size. End of.

BTW, if you read the advert carefully, the auction is mounts for 3 different engines, not just turbos.

Me?

You could always make the seller earn their living and ask them.

Or maybe measure your engine mount yourself?

I was under my Rev2 turbo tonight so I stuck a digital caliper across the I/D of the forward mount which read 84mm.
(I assume there's a bit of a lead to get the bush started)
Hope this helps
