E51 slave cylinder

Post by BIGBOBO »

Does anyone know where I can get a slave cylinder for my SC E51 gearbox? It's leaking badly and I doubt I can rebuild it since there's so much rust inside.

A slave cylinder from a NA fits but the position of the fitting for the hose is different. The fitting is very close to the shift cable and a custom hose may fit, but not sure.

Does anyone know how to make a hose from the slave cylinder to the rest of the clutch lines? What type of hose, fittings and tools would it require?

IIRC there is a rigid pipe from the slave cylinder to a bracket where the flexi-hose joins. You could make a bespoke rigid pipe using copper brake pipe and standard brakepipe fittings to fit the NA slave cylinder
