Thanks mate :thumleft:

The sizes and offsets aren't perfect on this set unfortunately but they are still great for now, until I get my Enkeis refurbed... The set on my gf's V6 in the pic are a much better spec

And yeah mate I went to Wales over the weekend with the mids mr2 lot and stretched its legs :D I'm only running it at low boost (0.9bar) and it pops a boost pipe off on high boost lol.. I need to replace one of my pipes but to be honest its fast on low boost

Also one of the adjusters on the koni inserts has seized and snapped set on hard so the car doesn't handle great, especially in the wet so I'll be ordering 2 new rear inserts shortly too :thumleft:

Yeah ill bet.. It's a strong engine in that one for sure.

Aww nice one mate, that would have been a great weekend :) and yeah the infamous teething issues after mapping. Mine did the exact same thing mate. Pain in the ass lol!

Sounds good though :) really glad it's going and you are enjoying it... Better than the mk3 turbo of old?

300bhp is a nice power level in a Mk2 :)

Completely different mate. The mk3 handles much better than the mk2 but the power of the mk2 is awesome. I doubt ill want any more power tho as I don't wanna lose the driveability. Sunday morning blast around the twistie welsh roads is my thing and the power is just about right at the mo :thumleft:

Now go and enjoy the car and don't meddle with it.

It's an easy trap to fall into, trust me 8-[

Not driven the car much lately. My gf drove it to JAE and back for me as I took my race car on the trailer :(

Fitted some puddle lights yesterday. Wasn't sure while I was fitting them but tested them out properly in the dark last night and I quite like them :)

Had a bit of spare time yesterday so I decided to finally get rid of the red paintwork on the strut braces :) I already had some blue paint which I'd bought months ago for a spare set of race car wheels but never used it so I gave that a go and its turned out pretty nice IMO... Its not perfect but much better than red :)

Disaster

Went to Silverstone yesterday and lost boost on the last lap.. Checked it over this morning and its the turbo  Gonna get it off the car later and assess the damage and try and work out the cause

Was it the original turbo?

Just a thought...

You are kidding dude?

That's unreal... It should no way be gubbed anyways. You won't have done any more than 1k on it and I did about 2miles lol!

Let me know what you find mate.. Really gutted to hear it has caused a problem. Hopefully it's something silly.

No dude it's a Garrett GT3071. If it can't be rebuilt (which I'm sure it can) I'll just buy a new one the same :thumleft:
