Working on and removing the engine from a MR2 Mk1 can be a real drag so the last time I needed to remove the engine from a Mk1 I came up with this modification! It certainly made getting the engine out with limited tools easier.

I have owned seven Mk1 Mr2s and this one was the most rotten I had ever seen! The underside was crumblier than a packet of walkers crisps and the wheel arches were made from solid filler.

On the positive side I managed to salvage the engine and loads of other useful parts that will keep other Mk1s going.
