Cheap Beams ... Anyone here?

Post by KarlBristol »

Just spotted this one and was wondering if it was anyone on here :-k

Looks like a very well loved example
My only concern would be selling due to a blown headgasket... Surely the car would be worth holding onto...

I'm suprised it wasn't stuck up for sale on here - pretty sure it would have sold quick enough...

Love the colour :D
Not so sure on the front splitter - any ideas which company makes it?

I will look it up now - never heard of that before

Always been a big fan of the 'shadow styled colour scheme with the black roof. I did contemplate doing it on mine when I had it resprayed but I was unsure if it is a timeless look or not. I worry that in 5 years it would look ricer on a brighter coloured car. Still rattles around in my head sometimes

At that price...bargain, I'd be tempted myself just for the engine- but you run the risk that the head is warped if it's cooked itself a few times...tempting none the less :-k

A failed head-gasket is an interesting one - the 3S-GE isn't known for damaging them. As noted above, would be worried its a cooling related issue, which has damaged the (difficult to find) cylinder head :-k

Does the beams come standard with a MLS gasket?
