Brands Indy in a Rev2 .....

Post by Wackojacko »

Hi all,
We took our little yellow thing to Brands on Monday
205 t1r's on the front and better pads improved the car two fold. The new steering wheel etc also added to the experience.

Still plenty more to get out of it with a front suspension overhaul and poly bush, more camber all round, more bracing, a proper suspension geo set up and a larger diameter rear ARB.

Enjoy.....

Nangkang shitters on the rear and T1r's on the front with a crap suspension "setup" .... Soon to be set up properly for better tyre contact.

It's not to wallowy, soon to be set up properly.

Actually ordering Tein S tech springs at the moment, camber bolts, front and rear strut braces are on there way.

Damper are the Black bilsteins already.

Nice vids Jacko, and your car is looking nice too! :) Hope you are liking it as a track car :thumleft:

The MR2 is quite a good car to work on, with fairly good access to most parts - The worst bits are rusted and snap-prone bolts (especially on the under-trays)!

Looks like you are a fairly smooth driver, with not too much "sawing" of the wheel going on...

However, I did spot on several occasions you moved your hand position on the wheel (As if you were driving on the road)!... Every time around Druids and on at least one occasion around Clark...

You should try and get yourself out of that habit asap - Hold the wheel at the "Quarter-to-Three" position when straight and keep your hands on the same position on the wheel when turning (unless having to make extreme steering corrections!) - It will make it much easier for you to judge steering angle and adjust for any corrections as needed. Druids is really not as sharp a turn as you may think it is - watch your vidoes back again and I think you will see what I mean.
