The switches could be wired that way.

Re: Noble M500 Upgrades & Overhaul
Thanks for the comments guys.
The original fuel level sender was pants - didn't even cover the full height of the tank, so dropped the tank and fitted a VDO tube sensor.
Fuel sender was then calibrated with the Dash2 by filling 2 litres at a time til full.
To save draining the tank next time i need to clean filter etc, i fitted a fuel tap.
Since i'm able to log all inputs into the DL1, it seemed sensible to do some R&D. So to measure the effectiveness of the intercooler, i've fitted two additional Bosch Motorsport high speed air temp sensors, one in one of the filters, and one between turbo and intercooler.
Pipe will be repainted after i get back from Le Mans.

Re: Noble M500 Upgrades & Overhaul
Most aftermarket ECUs have the ability to output real time data to dash displays, and the MBE used by Noble is no exception. It has both CAN and serial outputs.
Once fitted, the CAN adaptor should translate the CAN data from the ECU into a format the RT DL1 can understand. From there, the Dash2 can be configured to display any of the ECU data.
Not only does it save fitting duplicate MAP, MAT and water temp sensors, but being able to log all other parmaters inc. ignition advance, injector duty cyles, TPS angle etc will be useful on the dyno later.
However there was a problem. Without going into details, it took 5 months to get the MBE to communicate with the RT equipment, and is the first time it has been successfully done with a Noble (now i know why).
I have to give a mahoosive thanks to the guys at Race Technology. Their support in getting the problem solved was fantasitc. As long as i didn't give in, nor did they. In contrast, MBE were useless. Worse still, their uselessness was total and was accompanied by an absolute crap attitude. Never would i ever buy an MBE ECU. And the icing on the cake? The problem boiled down to an issue with the ECU and their config. software.
So now i have full CAN communication from the ECU to the DL1 and Dash2.

With the dash components fitted, electronics tried and tested, air vent hoses and trim panels were refitted.
Interior project finished!
Total hours: 160 ish.
Total cost: £2K ish.
All objectives achieved, very happy with final result.

Re: Noble M500 Upgrades & Overhaul
With the rebuilt engine finished, and the dash project finished, and car MOT'ed and test driven, time to sort a few bits of exterior in time for the Le Mans trip.
Had the wing end plates custom digitally printed by the same guy that printed the dash panel and TPMS face plate:
Then had Dave at DCA lacquer them:
Many thanks to Glenn at Instant Print in Sheffield. He runs one of the leading vlume printers of any and all marketing products to all areas of industry. All volumes catered for, with products and prices to suit everyone.
He will also undertake one-off custom work as seen in my Noble project.

Re: Noble M500 Upgrades & Overhaul
2 years ago, after 000s of miles of driving, i finally had unexpected and unwanted contact between one of my Dymags and something harder - a petrol forecourt kerb.
Luckily, it only scuffed the paint and lacquer - no damage to the aluminium spoke or carbon weave.
So off came the tyre, wheel was split, and parts sent off for repaint/relacquer.
Reverie took care of the wheel. Sanded off all the lacquer down to carbon. Two coats of epoxy lacquer and polished:
Pristine Wheels were given the wheel centre. Paint stripped, etch primed, base coated and lacquered:
Neither companies are cheap. But both are top in their respective fields.
As expected, a perfect job:
Rear wheels fitted with a pair of new Pirelli P Zero Corsas.
That's this year's (and last year's) mods finished. Time to enjoy before it comes off the road for this Winter's changes.

Looks great Peter, and that wheel came out nice!
Can't believe we have to wait till winter to see what comes next

Suppose I can't help but ask what needs revised next?
Interior looks good. Look forward to a snoop around it. Friend of mine has just bought a standard M12 GTO.
