Yes sure it's this one

They pop up on eBay used sometimes I got mine for £120 \:D/

It can be locked too to lift the car and not just tilt it

Matt,

Nice progress pal!

Them tillters do come in handy and store well with them being flat!.

Keep up the good work :thumleft:

It's very stable when tilted as the weight is on the wheels on the floor however It is still stable when locked horizontal but can rock ever so slightly but I put an axle stand either end to be sure .

Hope that helps

- thanks it does - I did have concerns about how stable it would be - I need to keep an eye on ebay - I cannot warrant the price of one new but I may get lucky with someone selling one on. Thanks again :thumleft:

Thanks I'm going to do all the underside while the engines out and all under trays are off too as it's better access

It's a forged rev 2 with rev3 conversion so effectively a rev 3 turbo

Quick spec

Cylinder head from Roy ashbys wheelie popping drag car was running 700bhp+ , HKs cams , Hks valve springs , hks cam gears , rev3 shim under bucket conversion and lots of flow work
Rev 3 conversion
Wossner forged pistons Std bore size
Eagle rods
Hks fine tuning timing belt
Flowed inlet manifold
Etc

Running a ct20b till I'm happy everything's running ok then time for more boost

For later
Sard 850 injectors
Garret gt3076 (needs rebuild)
Get an programable ecu

There's probably things I've forgotten from the list

What have you chosen to protect the underside and box cavities with rust protection?

Ive been reading old car restoration mags and both Dinitrol and waxoil came up. Im leaning towards dinitrol as its less messy, drys clear and easier to inject into the drainage holes etc.

Is there any other rust protection thats better or easier to use?

I'm doing the underside with waxoyl I had some from a previous project

I'll try to get it in the box cavities but if I can't I'll get something else :thumleft:

You can get clear waxoyl too

I've used both before, Dinitrol is vastly, vastly superior.. waxoyl dries out and cracks making it a lovely water trap for rust to start... I wouldn't consider buying a car that had been waxoyled now

Update

Fitted sbits shift cable bearings (wish I'd fitted the bearings to the cables while the engine was out 8-[ )

Connected most things up hoses /electrics I'm just missing a few things

Fitted an arc airbox
Image
Fitted rh driveshaft (I'm going to paint it )
Image

I've also made a bracket up for the cc pump as it didn't have one I used a spare fuel filter bracket and made some brackets to suit I wanted it mounted similarly to gt4 pump location .
Pump in fuel filter bracket I wrapped the pump with a little foam so the bracket doesn't damage the pump
Image
Bracket mk1

Pump fitted with mk1 bracket

Image
I wasn't happy with how low the pump was so back to the workbench
Brackets mk2
Image

Fitted (not the best pic I need to get another )

Loads better :thumleft:

That's it for the min

Update

The turbo engine loom had a dastek unichip wired in and it was a mess so I started by removing the unichip as I wasn't sure what it was mapped for and didn't want it to damage anything if it was not right for my car .
Image
This is what I was leaved with the loom with a couple of wires that need joining
Image
I have never soldered any wires before but thought I'd give it a try so went to maplin and bought a solder station with some solder and heatsrink, I practiced on some spare wires I had the then had a go .I'm happy with the joins (they aren't the tidiest joins but do the job )I then taped up the loom to tidy it up I'm really pleased how it looks
Image
I also moved the alarm siren from the engine bay to the boot
Image
Image
I fed the wire back in the cabin then through the rear quarter I also feed a extra string through at the same time and tied it up so if I ever need to feed anymore wires I have a pull cord :thumleft:
I fitted a trd rad cap
Image
My suction pump turned up today so I filled the gearbox with oil
Image
I also filled the engine with oil

Coming along very nicely there matt. I moved my alarm siren from the engine bay too, as it got ruined due to water/dampness.
