Mini update no pics tho will sort later I'm still working on this when I'm free but I'm working away in the week so progress is slow .

I've nearly build my engine just painting a couple of parts before they go on .
I got some trd arbs ready to go on, a pair on anniversary sill covers and an alloy rad on the way

It's getting there \:D/ just slowly as time permits

Update

I had a few hours free today so I cracked on with the car.
I first changed the drivers door for a spare I had as it was rusting and had a few car park dings and the spare was better , I still need to fit the internals but I'm waiting for my chrome handles to arrive and then I'll complete it in 1 go.

Then I fitted the drivers side skirt
Image

I test fitted the rear quarter and cut the rear arch to suit I then welded a steel strip to extend the arch to the kit and also put some tiger seal over the weld for a little extra protection (not the best pic but you get the idea)
Image

Then I sanded back the paint so I could bond on the rear quarter which I used loads of tiger seal (got everywhere I was covered in it )and some temporary self tap screws to hold till the sealant sets , then I will fibreglass and fill to blend in

That's it for today :)

Busy weekend again

I had a run up to Grimsby to drop of the carbon bonnet I sold to greeny

I've started to blend in the rear quarter

I'm happy with the look so far but need to bond the passenger side rear quarter to get them to match 8)

A quick pic of my engine

Image

So far I've
painted the block
replaced the core plugs
Fitted wossner forged pistons
Fitted eagle rods
rev3 headgasket
ARP head bolts which I haven't torqued up yet as my sockets were too big to fit in the head gap so a new socket has been ordered .

I'm still cleaning / degreasing parts and painting them before fitting them

That's it for now but I have 2 weeks off soon so I should see some progress

Mini undate (no pics)

In not got loads done but I'm getting a good collection of parts arriving .

My engines build I've just got to get a clutch then the gearbox can be mated to the engine and then it can go in   \:D/

I've sold my st205 chargecooler and bought a much better Radtec chargecooler kit from Juliankv73

My berk decat turned up last week so I've fitted that while the engines out .

I found a TRD fuel flap on eBay after loads of searching, so I'm waiting for that to arrive then I can mate sure it's a good fit to the pass rear quarter then I'll fix the rear quarter to the car

That's it for now I'll get some pics when I get a min

Little update

I had a couple of hours free today so off to the garage :)

I'm still waiting for my fuel flap to arrive so I started to remove the smoothed over flap opening . The person who smoothed it over did a hell of a job it took hours to remove trying not to damage the rear quarter.

Image

You can see the outline of the old filler it was a flush mount motorbike type jobbie

Image

Image

All removed.
I've leaved it like that until I receive the fuel flap then I can tidy the edges .
I've ordered some more tiger seal to stick the rear quarter on as I ran out . Then I can stick it , fiberglass it then some body filler.

Next I tackled removing the fog lights
Image
Success no broken tabs and all mountings intact.
Image

I removed the rad to replace it with a alloy Stoney racing one , I tidied the fans up and fitted them to the rad .

That's it for today
