3s service centre

Post by smartdj »

so today i went to collect a carbon fibre bonnet from 3s services. I went in my car instead of the daily runner as wanted to check the fitment of the bonnet. When I said i wanted the bonnet, can we fit it, the guy said no as all his men were to busy even though i was offering to pay! i then asked if i could borrow a drill quickly but again was told no he dosen't lend tools and incase i electrecuted myself! I was told i could make alternative arrangements to collect it, despite driving 66 miles there! I had taken my socket set with me, but nothing else as i thought, well they are an MR2 specialist and i am going to be giving them my custom so surely they'll help fit it, how wrong was i?!!

So he expected me to drive home to come back in another car making it a 270ish mile trip! He said I could put it on at my own risk but he'd advise against it. So i decided that i would fit it to my car with the help of my mrs. As we were fitting it one of his workers came out to check on us a couple of times - in that time he could of easily quickly drilled the two holes which i would of marked out myself thus making the bonnet safe and secure.

if they'd drilled the holes which i marked it would have literally taken 2 minutes out of there time to put the drill-bit in the drill an drilled the holes. job done!

I found the customer service to be awfully unhelpful! Luckily i was only 16 miles from my auntie & uncles, so after tying the bonnet down with zip ties and my shoe lace set i went over to my aunt & uncles where we fitted it correctly and safely within a matter of minutes. I still can not believe how unhelpful they were!

i will not be going back!
