Intake temp display ebay?? Any Good?

Post by A.BLAKE »

Looks like a decent bit of kit, any one tried one of these? Are they accurate?
Only problem I could see is installing it so it dose not leak boost under pressure? :-k

I personally wouldn't bother. The refresh rate on that is every second. If I was going to fit one, I'd be going for thermocouple spa gauge, with a refresh rate of 4 times per second. Difference is, the spa gauge is 300 quid, and totally worth it.

Just to add to Craig's post...

The sensor is about 3-4mm thick and has to be inserted under a hose.

How are you going to get a good seal with the hose clamp?

Another piece of Chinese excellence that was never designed to do what it is being sold for.

I bought one to do a quick test because my autometer act gauge broke. Even using an open sensor that doesnt heat soak it lagged behind around 3 seconds.

Basicly its a £5 5v pc temp monitor with a 12v to 5v step down fitted.

I posted a vid of this gauge in this thread.
