Sat Jun 16, 2012:
Hi everybody.
After struggling with my car starting in the rain and cutting out and my previous efforts failing  I realised it was more than just drainage issues. As its apparent water is my enemy I purchased a new dizzy cap gasket :th: .......... Made no difference

So my next thought was cracked dizzy cap as the starting/cutting out issues were getting worse. So I got a new Blueprint dizzy cap from A1 motorsports £25 :thumleft: So I set about replacing it and when I came to removing the "king" HT lead it felt very stuck :-k By this point it had started raining in a real kind of biblical fashion and I kept dropping my tools through the engine bay I was getting ticked off :-x I just ripped it out and the pin from the lead was still in the dizzy cap #-o
Image
and nothing was left in the lead #-o
Image
Oops  but looking at the dizzy cap I had an immense calcium build up.

Gave Mr T a ring and for £20 pounds I was getting a new king HT lead first thing in the morning:
Image
With a new lead in hand I tried again:lol: ......success \:D/ started so much quicker & smoother than before & the engine sounded much happier idling :thumleft:

With the cars reliability sorted I moved onto tarting my 2 up some more :D
Replaced my crank case breather filter with a nice shiny red one 8):

And I invested in a set of Toyota mudflaps:

I like these a lot, make the car look lower and finish the body off, will help keep it cleaner for longer too :D

Mon Aug 10, 2012:

Right i've had some staggered 16" Sparco Crimson alloys for months and months now. I finally got my act together and started refurbing them as JAE finally loomed close

So this is what I was up against

The looked better than this until i washed them

So I got to work on refurbing them
Image

Brian helping out

And finally got the outer rim sortted, took sooo much work to get these looking good again
Image

Image

Then I got the rims sprayed and colour coded to the car
Image

The next thing was to clean up the centre caps
Image

And finally I fitted them and this is the result, sortted just in time for JAE, the night before in fact
Image

I'm well pleased with the result :D

Those wheels came up well :thumleft:

Is your dad the rep from MR2OC? Can't remember his name but had a good chat to him at JAE.

Cheers for the positive comments guys :D
I think colour coading the spokes was either going to look good or really bad and i'm glad it ended up looking good, well I think so anyway :D
