[Mk2] [Generic] seatbelt retraction

Post by nickg07 »

hi so my passenger seatbelt doesn't retract very quickly/ at all - you really have to freed it it.

obviously as i drive i don't notice/ it doesn't bother me too much. but from passenger perspective it looks a bit dodgy. is there a simple fix or am i requiring a new seatbelt retractor unit etc?

Stick a tenner in my paypal and I will send you one from my car...works perfectly...it would bring you right down if you mashed your passenger with a dodged seatbelt.

Mine did this too a bit, kinda bothered the track day instructor at a drift day I did last year :pale: .
Passengers are overrated, slow you down, too much weight.
Buy a decent replacement, not worth the risk with some of the idiots about on the roads.

okay, so while fitting new erar speakers i discovered that my passenger side seatbelt is twisted on the non visible side of the seatbelt holder.

Sadly i couldnt get the lower bolt off the seatbelt retractor unit so couldnt untwist it, but might have a go in the future!
