Mirrored Glass T-bar panels

Post by munter »

Just in case anyone on here is interested I spotted these on eBay. I was tempted but I just don't think they'll suit my white and black colour scheme. If you've got a red or black car these will look amazing IMHO.

Not too expensive either. Fill yer boots!

Good find, been after some of these for years, they'll look great on my car.

Mirrored glass.

Presumably mirrored glass will reflect light away & help keep the car cool

yes its amazing what a difference just getting your sunroof/t bar glass mirror tinted, of course JDM original spec parts are the dogs danglies or a total waste of money depending on your viewpoint re- adding lightness
I was very tempted and asked the seller about condition and decided (probablt to my regret later) not to buy
Nice one Paul will be a good addition to your project car

sorry to say, but i think these will have a negative effect on your car paul.

We have already established these will keep your car cooler, and we all know that cooler air is denser, so in effect, given the volume of air in the cabin, these may make it a few grams heavier!

If you kept the standard "greenhouse" option, the air would heat up more, and density would be reduced.

just not sure you thought i through sorry

If he doesn't like them I've got next dibs on them seeing as I found them!!!!

Now regretting not buying them myself ](*,)

Would have looked good when (if) I get round to a full respray and colour code the roof a different colour to white. Mirror and white doesn't really go in my eyes.

Ahhh balls!!! that added weight of condensation is going to ruin the handling as well.... bu88er, i'll have to drive with the windows open now, then there's all that drag.... damn i really didn't think this through! :)

Yes of course. Mark had these as standard in his SE. Worked well with the climate control to keep the car cool.

The stock greenhouse situation is not a good one. Is a good idea to tint the glass as it's dead easy to do.
