Hi guys,

I was wondering, if i was to get 6.5" components for my doors, i understand i will need to make an mdf spacer ring, but...

Whats the deepest the woofer could be if i spaced it as much as posible without touching the door card and be clear of fouling up anything in the door.
I am looking at purchasing some Hertz Hi Energy HSK 165

Dont know about deepest but i had the alpine type r's. they need an mdf spacer and i had to grind some of the speaker cut out to fit it. before the basket would catch and it didnt fit right. Not sure if they changed them now but if you can get the spec of the ones from about 4 years ago it might help you.

It was the 16.5 cm type G components.
