[All] [Generic] Carbon effect on wheels

Post by ToyotaTosh »

Has anyone considered Carbon wrapping their wheels?
I was on my way home from work yesterday, and a company local to me that does window tinting etc has a Saab full of advertising, but the wheels had a Carbon effect on them ? ?

I'll try and get a pic next time I'm going past to see what you think.....

I'm not a fan personally. Anything "carbon effect" to me is a little like fake designer brands. Again, that's just my opinion. ;)

Have you considered getting them anodised?

How would these 'dipped' wheels stand up in every day life? If you kerbed them would the coating just peel off?

I don't like the look myself, just wondering.

If you're referring to the Dymags - they're not dipped. The whole rim is one piece carbon fibre. No metal.

Yeah I figured they were the real McCoy. I was more referencing the OP.

If you're gonna go CF wheels the Dymags certainly sound like the way to do it - very cool.

I can't say I'm too surprised considering the tolerances they have to deal with.

But. Man, you can buy a good number of MR-2s for that. Hah.
