Mr2 turbo V E90 M3 @ Crail 1/4 mile

At the weekend I went up to crail with a guy from work who has an E90 M3.
Basically he beat me more times, but my fastest time was just faster than his, when I say just, i got a 13.221 and his best was 13.249 only 0.028 in it.
I thought it was going to be close but not that close.

P.s he is running standard at a proven 414.4bhp, and I have a few mods running 313.5bhp.

Should I be beating him or the other way round?

It's a manual he's got.
I think m3 is about 1700kg, Mr2 is about 1300kg.
They are amazing cars, I was a passenger in it for a couple of runs and it was a beast, a v8 that revs to 8500rpm!!!
