[Mk2] [Turbo] Blue (Remote on) wire connector??

Post by msherry21 »

Hi all, I'm trying to fit my Sony stereo back in my car, all Harnesses connected up and I have a single blue wire ("Remote on" is written on a tag around the wire). I know this fits into the back of my stereo but its missing its connector. Can someone tell me what the connector should look like? Is it a 3.5mm jack?? I'm assuming this wire sends the power to the stereo?

Does anyone one have any photos of this wire?

Cheers, Michael.

I am no expert, but I am sure the remote blue wire coming out from your stereo goes into the remote connection on an amp.

So, unless you are running amps, you do not need to connect this to anything.

Wait for others to chime in as I could be wrong. I always wire up my own system and it seems to work so I am sure I am correct.

The remote on wire tells your amplifier (if you have one) to turn on when the cd player turns on.

If its from an Autoleads adaptor I think you have to attach it to your cd players amp remote pin?
