supercars driven back to back on track

Hi I'm a member of sporting bears motor club (raising money for childrens charities by giving people rides in cars on roads and on track) so I've been lucky to cadge a ride in a few exotics.

At Aintree (a short track) we had Lambo Gallardos, Maseratis etc and I rode in a Noble M12, which was fairly quick.

By far the fastest on day was a Porsche 997 Turbo, the way this thing too off from the line was SO much quicker than anything else there.

There wasn't an Ultima there on day, IMO it would have been even faster, having experienced one on the road it's still the most capable car I've ever ridden in.

Wish someone would bring Tubby to our meets, alas no interest on his forum...

Yes thank you Lauren, I will do that in the near future. It would be great to see some awesome IMOC members cars whizzing around. The last run at Aintree was specifically for the seriously ill Children we benefit to enjoy a few laps in the passenger seat - their Families were pretty overwhelmed with how thrilled the kids were, very moving

If it's of any use, I've got an extremely rare car (not an MR2) and I have lots and lots of track experience, so would be happy to give rides for charity.

I'm also a social worker and work with children so have a clear CRB if that's needed?

I know who Sporting Bears are, I had a ride in a Lamborghini Miura SV back in 2002 at the Classic Car Show at Birmingham NEC.

I had a look at the Sporting Bears website, but apart from an application form, nothing else seems to work, so I couldn't see what might be going on or the kind of events that might be nearby.

Also couldn't see what the deal was with giving rides and the like.

Edit, found the Northwest events page. Have to say there are a lot of local events near to me.

Lauren, I'm a member of the Northwest crew, we're really active.

I'm always at The Pageant of Power near Chester and Aintree in Liverpool was great.

If you're helping on the day, you generally get free admission to events and get to ride in other members cars too

Click contact on SB website and email them re. payment - I'm sure they'll do their best to accommodate - I paid cash I think when I joined at one of the events three years ago
