[Mk2] [Turbo] Constant/battery feed voltage...

Post by gazchap »

What's the normal voltage supposed to be to the head unit on the yellow (constant/battery feed) wire?

My head unit no longer works after I tried to replace it, and having checked the fuses and tried a couple of other units known to work, I've got a multimeter out and on the ignition feed I get 11.86-12.13V when the ignition's on.

On the constant feed, I was getting around 6-8V all the time, but now it's dropped to 0.01V and won't move from there.

I've removed the ISO adapter and checked at the connectors on the Toyota loom, and the readings are the same there, so I'm assuming I have a wiring problem somewhere? Could removing the head unit have pulled some wires loose or something?
