1,400 miles to go.... to the moon!

Post by HighwayStar »

Had a bit of a thrash up and down the A1 today for a photoshoot and just before home the odometer rolled over 220,090 miles.
By my reckoning that means just a bit less than another 1,400 miles and the old 2 will have covered enough distance to reach the moon at its perigee (that's when it's closest to earth to save a google).
Not bad although granted it's taken over 22 years so it lags some way behind the shuttle.
Keep your fingers crossed for the old jalopy and hopefully sometime next month I will be able to report the chicken has landed.

That's one small step for an MR2; one giant leap for Toyota.

Good luck Mr Armstrong and keep us posted.
