What a top night! Great meeting some new faces and having (what turned out to be 3 hours worth of!:)) decent conversation about cars.

Cheers to Pete for hosting this first night!

Roll on 3 weeks time! :thumleft:

This is the link to the heads up display I'd fitted to my Mk1.5:

http://www.360infiniteusa.com/hud-miles-p-281.html

I do have one of these for sale:

http://www.360infiniteusa.com/hud-gps-p-280.html

GPS powered and just plugs into your cigarette lighter socket so no need for cutting into your dash or doing any wiring. I'd take offers around £80 as it's only been used a couple of times.

Is the new meet post getting done?

Cheers,
Tom

They look a good bit of kit. Will it project directly onto screen or does it need a sticker?

They project directly onto the screen and are visible even in bright ish light. The only issue you get when you don't use a reflective film is that you get a reflection from the inside and the outside of the glass, which gives you a double image. You could live with it but to be honest you don't notice the film when you're driving.

The GPS system updates at 5Hz, so plenty fast enough.

HTH.

Cheers,
Tom

Im sorry but that makes no sense.

10 blokes carn't turn up to a pub and purchase drink/food and talk b0ll0cks about cars ?

They have obviously have a cracking business model.

The pub in question has a big car park. That whenever I have drove past is empty. We could all just turn up and have a pint I'm sure haha.

Just to clarify...

The pub we chsose has had a facelift. Steak restaurant upstairs, and "function room" downstairs. They don't actually have a public bar anymore.

The MGOC use it and regularly bring 30+ members. The pub puts on a member of staff to serve in the function room.

Obviously it isn't going to pay them to man the function room for a few guys buying shandys...

HOWEVER, my sencond choice is a great privately owned pub, nice car park, and easy to find on the A628 about 5 mins from J37 M1.
