The dash looks great. I know it's not to everyone's taste but personally I think it's miles nice than the stock finish :thumleft:

+1 I do like the look of a flocked dash, they look great in the flesh.

I keep changing my mind whether to do mine as well...I just wish it hadn't become a bit of a "chav" mod in the UK #-o

I love it as well! :) In reality it looks better as phone's camera doesn't do the best job...
Also, it will reduce reflections of sun.

New color! It's a bit sad to forget pinkie, but I like this one :) It's really deep rich red.

Its definatly red thats for sure - I like it but I think its going to one of those love it or hate it shades of red. It will get you noticed on the track.

It's a stock crimson red. Personally, I like it more than super red.

Of course there will be some people who will hate it. The same was with pink. Some told that it's a great color, very noticable etc, but some just hated it.

To be honest its the perfect colour because of the divide it will cause - your thread has provoked that reaction from readers from the start. I personally cannot wait to see it finished and hear a report back on how it drives. I couldn't care a fig if its two cars or three cars welded together - I'm not going to drive it or ride in it and its not going to be a road car. I do admire your drive and ambition and get it done attitude and the cage is a work of art. Keep the updates coming.

Can I ask where you got that gauge pod from that is on the side of the dash? I keep looking at your dash thinking that flocking is something I would like to do to mine and I wouldn't mind copying your pod idea as well!

Thank you all for your support and good words! :)

I will start collecting a car this weekend and hope to finish till the end of April.

Do you think the color is better now? I think this one shouldn't create as much discussions as pink :)

Regarding the pod, I found it USA ebay. Bought it really cheap, around 20gbp or so, can't remember now. It should be ease enough to read the gauges and they won't block the view to road.

excellent work, glad you've proved the doubters wrong and turned out a good result :thumleft: man sized balls required for a project like that.

I'd certainly rather be driving that than a shonky spider conversion..

A couple more pics showing a color in a day light. Damn it's so bright! I guess it will be even more noticable than pink was.

To say that's 3 MR2s in one, you've done quite a job getting a mm perfect job on all the shut lines/panel gaps etc.

Little by little :)
Unfortunately decided not to participate in time attack at 17th of May as I will have no more than 2 weeks to do engine run in and I still want to get used to it and to be sure that everything is ok with a new engine etc :)
