Was there actually a 'Black Limited' MR2?

Thought it was the Super Edition that was the run out model.

The only Black Limited model I was aware of was the fabled Black Limited AE86.

yes
the limited part as per for the big T was how many "special" extras it had, logos, different colour graphics on the clocks & maybe seat upholstery thats about it
as for it being a run out model Lauren it was infact an early 1A "special" edition '

Ah. My reference to run out model was due to the AE86 Black Limited being a run out model.

Interesting, I've never seen one I admit. Any idea how many were made?

think were only talking a couple of hundred, but it is an elusive model not much info about, but like i say as per for T specials it wasn't that special

I know about that one, though it wasn't all that special IIRC.

Think I'd heard about it and forgotten about it. I've never seen one in the flesh. The words 'black limited' just make me think AE86 nowadays.

Both RWD I thought.

Both again (I think) owned by Toyota, but based at TTE which is Toyota Team Europe which is based in Cologne, so it's not 'Toyota Germany'.

I've heard various stories about these cars, most of the stories seem to agree on a couple of things, 3 cars were built, 1 with a traverse mounted engine which was RWD (the black one that's been at Goodwood) the other 2 had longitudinally mounted engines,1 was RWD and 1 was AWD, all 3 were turbocharged.
AFAIK there's still 2 around, the black one at TTE and Mr T has a white one in Japan, they are the only ones I have found pictures of.
