Track preperation...

Post by J-1 »

I own a rev 4 GT turbo and it's now going to become my track car.

What things should be done as track preperation?

Interior removal
A/C removal
Aerial removal
Wiring removal for above

What else should be done?

Cheers.

OP: unless you are talking solely about weight stripping and you have done the other 'basics' stick to the basics first. At a minimum make sure your brakes are up to scratch and your car is well serviced. Then put aside a few hundred quid for inevitable breakdowns. Then theres brake upgrades, bucket seat and harnesses, bilsteins, uprated spings or coilovers, ARBs, tyres, 15 or 16 inch wheels if not already fitted. Then you can strip it out.

on weight saving do a search, there are other threads talking about it. All sound deadening (engine bay, cabin floor), radio and heating, dash is all possible.
