Yes, they will make another girdle but you will have to send your block down as it has to be custom fitted.

http://www.stanroseengineering.co.uk/

Did all the work

I will get photos later today if I get the chance.

Now the cost......lol I had the oil squirters fitted, the oil feed to the balance shafts plugged, the dip stick hole plugged all that with the girdle made from EN8 steel is going to be £1200 + VAT.
It may be cheaper for you as they know what they are doing now.

The pistons are being designed by John Pimentel of Race Engineering and will be CP, around $1300 a set

The same piston as used in this but I will have 8.0:1 comp.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaRaBnZl ... ojmyuLeYqF

Rods will be custom made by Arrow Precision to John Pimentel’s design to match the pistons

yeah spoke to pat in december about the 5s block in his celica and he said he was working on something new.

890whp guess thats about 890 at the flywheel in uk

my blocks exactly same as yours from underneath, im not goin with squirters and ive tapped and blocked the balancershaft assembly oil feed
surely a girdle could be universal?
i was thinking more like 30-50 quid? 1200?lol

The girdle has to fit around the block and on the top and the bolt holes of the main caps. The main caps have to be milled so they are all the same hight then the girdle is fitted to the main caps with not even o.ooooo" gap.

The metel I think was over £100.00 then 3 days on the mill

There is only one way to do thing right and it all costs money

bit cheaper girdle, but read description as it needs a few parts. Still seems good value though.

Sending off the cam shafts for balancing later this week

http://www.vibrationfree.co.uk/motorsport.htm

Pistons being made now, should have them in 4 to 6 weeks.

Rods also being made, not sure how long they will take yet.

One great thing about not having a woman around, I have the block, crank block girdle in the living room keeping nice and warm

Crank in place

Image

Nice tight clearance to take the oil off the crank

Image

The important part, how the girdle clamps down onto the main caps

Now have to wait 6 or 7 weeks for the pistons and rods to come.

Time to put the roll cage in, build the close ratio gearbox and wire up the Motec ecu, oh and the 044 fuel pump in the tank

I have not been drag racing since back in the 80s when I was supplying most of the nitrous systems to the cars and bikes.

If at the end of the season if we have time we may give it a go

Yes as long as we do not have a sprint on at the same time.
Do you have dates?

Looks like that weekend it free, just have to see if and how the car is running.

Going to try this turbo out next year if it all stays together.

For anyone building a higher power than stock engine this is what should be done to the pistons. You should never just fit what comes in the box, that is just the starting point. See how smooth everything is on the left hand piston
