bloody lights
Driving home in terental rain, I could barely see my lights are like candals. Anyone else have this problem? I have xenon bulbs blue and white they used to be good on my last car.

Re: bloody lights
With stock bulbs yes... I have changed the stock bulbs to Osram Nightbreakers and gave the lights a light of metal polish, made a huge difference!

Re: bloody lights
Check that the beam setting is at 0 (zero). This makes a huge difference.

Re: bloody lights
I got mine from AutobulbsDirect.co.uk
Bulbs
Standard 60 or 70 over 55 yeah rubbish. Last 8 yrs used 100 over 80s from Halfords Bosche there on the racks reasonable price especially with discount card. It says on box offroad use only but never been flashed by other traffic, MOT fine i figure the MR2 is low down so not blinding anyone had them in previose car for 13yrs. Modern cars possibly exceed that standard anyway.
Re: bloody lights
Don't forget to put the headlights up when you wash the car

Re: bloody lights
Make sure you get the Night Breaker Plus as they have a 50% longer life than the original Night Breaker.

Re: bloody lights
With Raybrig headlights and some Bosch H4 PLUS 90 bulbs, my headlights are fantastic.
Edit: As JohnnyC states, keep your headlights clean, it can make a huge difference!

Re: bloody lights
Crystal headlight and osram nightbreaker plus is defo the best mod on lighting without HID although still toying with the idea of getting HID's
Re: bloody lights
I'm a big am a big fan of the +5-/ +70% bulbs - but don't forget replacing a 10 year old+ headlamp and reflector with a new one will make a huge difference to the amount of light they throw down the road..
If you fit a new headlamp unit and put in some 50% brighter ( or better ) bulbs will be excellent.

Re: bloody lights
Be a bit careful when choosing your lenses from eBay. You don't want to end up with a set of US spec lenses. Also remember that technically unless they are 'E' marked they're not legal for use in the UK I've been pulled up before for Raybrigs.
As long as they are RHD and E marked then you'll be OK.
