Rota wheels

Post by Johnr32 »

Hi all, currently looking at a set of 17" Rota D1's with gold face for my white turbo. Are Rota wheels a good manufacture - should I have any problems with them? also would gold wheels look good on a white car?

Thanks,

....... Like mine? :D take a look in my garage for a few "on car" pics.

I've found them to be pretty good tbh, ive had them 2 years now and the only bad point is that one of the lips is oxidising/corroding slightly. This is probably down to our salty roads at winter however :(

I was after a set of those myself, only in that Charcoal/Gunmetal style colour. Seems they're hard to get hold of!

You can pick them up from the "RareRims" website. I called them and told him i was an IMOC member and he gave me a very good deal on the price! :thumleft:

Yep, they are 17's.
The offsets are ET35 all round and the rears will only rub over the biggest of bumps due to me fitting 245 tyres! Need the arches rolled really, but they hardly ever rub so haven't got round to it yet :P

If I remember rightly the fronts are 7.5J and the rears are either 8.5J widths if it helps? 8)

Arent Rota just cheaper copies of other wheels or do they do their own designs?

I think they are a bit of both to be honest. I know my D1's are suposed to look (sort of) like work miesters, but they aren't trying to out and out fake another company's designs.
