Sounds like it was a wheel bearing failure that put them so far back...but they're still running!

impressive to change that many parts alone in 24 hours let alone compete in a race while doing it, well done

so how much power does it take to destroy a driveshaft?

It doesn't take power, it takes faulty replacement wheel bearings!

Nice result, are there any vids online?

I've always wondered about 24 hour racing, does the car have to come in for a full service every 50 laps or something, it must be pretty hard going!

Best place for info is Rogue's facebook page, they did updates throughout the 24hrs and practice etc.

You can do a 24hr race without changing fluids - although it's a hard drive you're talking about anywhere between 300 and 400 laps (unless you're in class 1!) which is around 1000 to 1500 miles at Silverstone. Every scheduled pit stop for Rogue had a tyre change, refuel and driver change, and every 3 or so had brake pad changes from what I remember. Aside from that it's just what falls off!

So I said I'd post the dyno plot with figures after the event. Here it is:

Image

Peak torque is 311.9lb/ft and peak power is 324.2bhp, measured at the hubs. This is at just 6 psi of boost and with a map that's been tweaked for longevity rather than outright performance.
