Interesting this!
I am totally addicted to carbon at the moment and am itching to have a go at making my own stuff.
Here have you skinned the original scuttle? Or did you cast the original and then make a replacement Carbon fiber item?
I have been considering the Carbon mods skinning kit but at £50 odd quid i was considering other options.
I have been told that you can make your own molds of original parts using fiberglass if you wanted to make the part out of carbon instead of just skinning it. I really need to have a go at this.
How is the weave on the fabric you used?

No i made this from a standard one ,the other was an E-bay buy, which made me decide to do my own

That looks awsome! Might have a blast at that soon, defiantly freshens up the cowl

This one is proper carbon fibre cloth and resin ,if you read a couple of posts up ,you will find what i used
filled all the vents i didn't want with flexible bumper filler ,then carbon skinned over the top
Round 1 ,just painted ,not a very good finish
Round 2 carbon vinyl wrapped ,better looking finish, but it has lifted in places due to the weather
i was going to do it again and lacquer it but decided against it hence round 3
