Chris's new project.....Rev 5 n/a Updated progress.

Post by Chris »

Well after various cracking cars, I'm coming back to my roots!

Wanted a late turbo but they seem unobtainable at the right money, or they are dog rough #-o

So here's some pics of the latest aquired 2. Going to convert to Turbo, bought some Enkei RP01's other night and go from there

bear in mind, this is how it was when got home. It needs a bloody good polish!!

Anyways, my little lad Jenson loves it!!

Yep, I am coming down in it. :thumleft:

Here's some progress pics...

Here's one of the Enkei RP01's. As you can see they are rough! But staggered 16" with perfect 35/38 offsets. Currently at the powder coaters being blasted and coated.

Image

There was a little rust on the N/S/R arch so it's now in the bodyshop..

Image

The rear edge of the sills are recieving the same treatment..

Image

There was a very small rust scab on the lower of the drivers door. After touching it with the grinder it proved to be mucgh worse. Sadly I don't have a spare door kicking around, So my mate John has cut out the affected area and is going to weld in a new section.

I will update as things progress \:D/

Haha! I liked my car as a Veilside. :D

Not sure on full plans yet. Main thing is to get the car bodywork sorted and undersealed. Then I will move on with the clip change.......It should be here tomorrow!

Fast moving mate

What clip have you found for it- standard rev3+ I assume, or have you found a built lump?

ha, you know what I am like Ash :thumleft:

Well the clip is a stock Rev 3 out of Bones car that he has broken up. Will probably forge it over the winter, but might chuck it in first to have a bit of fun.

Progress today includes...

Wheels back from Powder coaters. Looking real good considering the state they were in!

Image

Rears built up ready for fitting. Just waiting for front tyres..

Image

Drivers door has new plate welded in.

Car now ready for final prep and paint! Hopeing all ready for JAE :thumleft:

Off to inspect this clip now

Cheers Greeny.

Well. Small disaster on the paint side. The colour is off and not a great match :(

Anyways. That will be re done on Monday.

Should get wheels on in the morning too.

Quick update...

Not seen my car for about 2 months now. The Rev 5 n/a lump is out and gone. I now have 2 rev 3 turbo engines to play with... But I have been collecting and waiting for parts to arrive #-o

The bodywork is now pristine all round. Ended up with the O/S off the car nearly fully repainted, front and rear bumpers repainted, N/S front wing repainted and both side pods. Costly but the car is perfect now.

So far I have bought some whiteline ARB's, CRN grooved brakes, CP 86mm pistons, ARP's, an ARC intercooler (need to varify if authentic) and Motec M400. \:D/ I Need injectors and rail, turbo and wastegate etc..

Hopefully off up to Simon's this weekend to drop some bits off and crack on!

Goodies pics
