mr2 turbo rev 3 vs loads of supra's

Post by supraturbochris »

Evening all. I didnt know where about's to post this really, but i have owned my mr2 turbo rev3 now since april after ownership of 2 twin turbo supra's but i loved the way the mr2 is over the supra so i bought another mr2.
It was a supra owners club day 2 saturday's ago at santa pod, so i thought i would join in some of the action and put my mr2 turbo up against both my old twin turbo supra's, a mustang and 5 other supra's, and i was amazed how well i did.
Didnt loose one drag race out of 8, with the best time of 13.1 sec 1/4 miles at 105mph
I ran up against 5 twin turbo supra's running 400bhp and over and a 370 bhp mustang gt.

I'm gutted I missed SupraPod but my Mk1.5 wasn't ready in time :(

A 13.1 is a respectable time Chris, good job holding up the Mr2 end, even if you were in a Mk2

nice one, i do prefer my mr2 to drive then my old Supra, its allot more fun. Although with a T61 i also miss the power my old Supra used to have. Pics in my garage.

Not very quick then are they?
If you got a 13.1 I'm guessing your as near as makes no difference to 300bhp?

If they had 400bhp and got less then thats shocking. Either bad driving or they really cannt drag their own weight at all.

my 300 completely rapes my old mr2 (which was as close to 300BHP as the injectors would allow) and it's running around 400bhp, probably a bit less, but then i dry humped a supra TT in it as well :D
