right pulling my hairout here with my local garage had my car 3 weeks changing the drive shaft seal on ds
they keep saying they got the wrong seal ,,, i have a k reg 1993 rev 2 turbo import
what seal do i need andwot part number is it ?
they told me there looking into it as there 3 different ttypes of seal is this true

T90311-40004 Seal RH/driver
T90311-50027 Seal LH/pass (supercedes 90311-50010)
They are on different diagrams on the EPC, the RH is on 41-01 REAR AXLE HOUSING & DIFFERENTIAL when the LH is on 33-02 CLUTCH HOUSING & TRANSMISSION CASE (MTM)

after 3 weeks in the garage i phoned again and appearently they cant get the right seals and toyota dont have them anymore
but thanks to the lad on here i phoned up with the parts numbers and low and behold there coming in moday for me
so aint going back to that garage again
how easy is replacing the seals would anyone mind just putting a guide up for me please im replacing the driver side as im doing that is it worth doing the other side aswell
really appricate the help as had about enough bull from that garage and now gonna miss usc

they don't need doing unless they're leaking mate...
drivers side.
remove...wheel, lower hub ball joint, droplink, driveshaft middle bearing and supports...drop the subframe an inch or 2 to allow access to one of the rear g/box mount fixing bolts, remove mount and bracket.
Now you can take the plate off that the oil seal sits in...note how it fits now before knocking out....mine pushed in relatively easily...if it's giving you some stick, take it to a specialist.
