Beams powered MR2 takes first outright win in cscc future classics

Post by mark73 »

Myself and dave bryant became the first ever team to take outright victory in a cscc future classics race with a class B car (2 litre n/a)at cadwell park this sunday with my beams powered MR2.With some very tricky conditions i managed to pull out a 9 second lead before the pitstop/driver change, only to find out we had been leepfroged in the pitstops by the astra of hammersley and taylor.Dave found himself 12.5 seconds down on them with 18 minutes left on the clock, after the drive of his life he caught the astra and took the lead with a brave move round the outside at park corner  with only a couple of laps to go and took the win by 2.7 seconds :thumleft:

onboard video here PS you will have to excuse his celebrations but after all it was his first ever race win

Well done!

Great racing (really took me back to when I raced there), I was thinking 'Fook, you can't overtake into the second part of Charlies', but, apparently you can. :+:

Brave move at the hairpin too. :+:

just about mate, car must stay siloet,ie no silly spoilers and body kits,no sequential gearboxes but engine tuneing is basicly free.
