ebcbrakesdirect - are they OK

Hi Akk,

I need to get 4 brake disks for my MK1A. I've come across ebcbrakesdirect.co.uk & the price is not too bad including postage to Southern Ireland. Has anyone dealt with them & had goor or bad experiences.

Try www.buypartsby.co.uk they're cheaper and do EBC brake disks and pads. I would just get a non branded disk though, there's not much in it unless you're going for grooved disks.

Ziggy at AtoZ Warehouse is usually good. Can be found on eBay

For brake discs, I agree with Limey. They're all pretty much one and the same and I don't see much point in paying over the odds for one; buypartsbuy or brakeparts.co.uk are both good sources for these.
However, I've bought pads from EBC direct, and had no problems with them.

Thanks for the replies. Will give my local motorfactors a go first. They're for easy road use so non branded will do. Any idea on the diameter of the disks for the MK1A. I think the front are 143mm.

243mm front, 240mm rear

I'd measure the fronts though, just in case someone's put the later spec brakes on the car.

Disks from buypartsby.co.uk are a lot cheaper than EBC. Thanks. Will need to give them a call re shipping.
