[Mk2] [Turbo] inlet manifold weld?

hi can any tell me if the standard rev 1 inlet manifold can be cut turned around and rewelded for a boot mount? heard that its cast alloy and cant be welded dont know myself or will it have 2 be an aftermarket 1?

I have seen them welded before, I would put a bigger plenum on the runners if your going to be cutting and welding, and your better off going side feed if your going to do that. I keep considering hacking up my rmr to change to side feed as I run boot mount at the moment with rear entry throttle like your planning.

The big bit that the runners go into, stock one has got a sticker on the top.

Give 3S a message I know James has made couple or more cutom inlet manifolds, he might be able to offer some help :thumleft:
