Anyone fitted this kit at all ? If so any gains or noticable difference ?

You'll get no extra power from an induction kit on a mk3, but it will make a better noise. Depends on what you're after really, but losing a bhp or two can be worth it if the butt/ear dyno makes the drive feel more involving.

Ah ok

So claims of 10% increase in bhp are slightly exaggerated then

Somewhat, yes ;)

Friend of mine with access to some seriously impressive test gear ran a 1ZZ both with and without the OEM air filter, and there were no gains at all. Given that the OEM filter is the same as used in the 2ZZ engine which develops 50bhp more, then you can see why there's precious little to be gained from a filter change.
