Loved the original, but then I only paid £6 for it in one of the sales on Steam. Given that a lot of people are finishing the sequel in 9 hours (SP), I think I'll wait a year or two for the price to drop to a more sensible level before taking the plunge.

First one only took me 4 hours but it was sold in the Orange Box so the other games made up for that.

Aye, got the first one in Orange box, so wasn't too fussed about the short play-time (though have played it twice, plus the various challenges). Portal 2 looks great, but I've forced myself that I have to finish Uni first before I can get it. :( (July hopefully! Just in time for me birfday!)

what exactly is this game about? looks like you shoot orange and blue holes in Walls to pass through them, is that the gist of it?

you use the portals to solve puzzles, its basicly a massive IQ test with reflexes and spatial awareness thrown in

What he said :) It's a first person shooter with nothing to kill (directly anyway) just you, your portal guns and some companion cubes.

The Orange Box can be picked up for a tenner and it's well worth it just to play one of the coolest puzzle games in recent years.

Nice to see some love for Portal 2 on here.

I started playing it last night and it is fantastic. I would urge anyone to take a chance on it! Worth £40, however long it takes you to complete.

Am dying to try out the co-operative modes too.

It's one I keep going back to, about halfway through EP 1 at the moment (not bad going, i've had it about 2 years :D)

And will hang on for Portal 2 till PSN is back as thats one I want to play online, might have dropped in price by then

I'm playing on the Xbox 360 :( It's a shame that the cross platform functions don't work on that but hey!
