[Mk2] [NA] Lowering Help

Post by sloopeh »

i went to fit some apex springs last weekend and failed. i couldnt undo any of the bolts despite some serious leverage/penetrating fluid ended up breaking/bending three spanners

anyone know anyone in the SE with more experience/better tools than me who could fit them for me and appx cost?

or would anyone like to volunteer to have a go and earn some cash?

a 6 foot scaffold pole on the end of an 'unbreakable' spanner and 2 cheap spanners - all of which broke.

Yeah I would second Phils idea, I went to a local tyre place and they did my suspension with an air gun. Its amazing how easy thngs come apart with tools like that

Are you sure your turning them the right way? lol

Just kidding - Forget the spanners - Can you not get a good socket on them?

Hope you get your apexs fitted. I'm thinking of fitting them and am wondering how harsh the ride is after fitting... could you report back with pics and your view on how firm the ride is?
