[Mk2] [Generic] my full beam not working on the stalk!!

Post by Vindezal »

I think there is either a loose or dry connection in my right indicator stalk as last night I clicked it forward on full beam and the lights went black. Anyone come across this and how to fix it? I obviously dont use full beam much and wonder if it is a dull joint or something or easier to replace the stalk?

Sometimes they came on. and the pop up lights come up as normal

Is it now not working at all? Fuses o.k? Relay?

Does the blue light on the dash come on indicating that the main beam should be on? Bulbs o.k?

Do the lights pop up when they are only switched on sidelights when you flick the main beam on? Bulbs o.k?

Do they work one way and not the other. e.g when you flash they dont work but when you switch them on permantly they pop and work or dont pop up and dont work etc.

Have this weird issue on mine. Relays, fuses all checked OK. The root of the issue has been found to be the whole stalk unit. Check each wire in the unit's loom. I had to replace mine so I now got it and will soon install. I will let you know how it goes.
