[Mk2] [Turbo] Kicker Solo Baric L7 10"

Has anyone installed one of these into an MR2? they only require a Min of 18.7 Litre which is alot better than my 12" JL that needs almost 36 litre!!

I have used the kicker L5 square 10 (uses the same size enclosure as the L7) firstly in a strengthened Autoacoustics enclosure I did 128.6 db at 46hz with this off 250w rms (with 3way components in the doors off 300w rms)

Then in a sealed 1cuft mdf enclosure, instead of the fibreglass auto acoustics box, but after talking to Brett at Kicker we decided on a 1.25cuft enclosure plus an external port which fires over the top of the passenger seat

I am also changing to a JBLl1201 amp 778w rms for the sub and rainbow 2way components and have upgraded the wires for the charging etc

It seemed louder ported, but then the engine died so no db readings yet, it is all being fitted into my new rev1 then I will post up results.

The mounting depth varies on the dual 2ohm its 152mm but the dual 4ohm is a bit shallower and as I am currently fitting one into a sealed 1 cuft mr2 box I will try to remember to measure it for you

19l is easy to achieve in an MR2, so really shouldnt be a problem

The boxes i do are 21l.

If its SPL your after a box right on the min requirements wont deliver what you want though
