Try this if you're on the 360 for the control settings (yes stupidly it says 'wheel configuration' and no the pad :

Max left = Zero & Max Right = 10

Vibration = 7
Pad Linearity = 2
Speed Factor = 10
Steering Damping = 0
Deadzone = 5

Throttle Linearity = 9
Brake Linearity = 7
