Ask Quick fit etc 3SGTE's clutches are good for 280 +
BHP's as standard.

Personally i'd avoid it. You've no idea off the quality, price one from Toyota it'll cost a bit more but at least you'll know it's up to the job. Your cheap ebay one won't be so cheap if it falls apart and you have to pay to get another one fitted.

I've got a spec stage 3 clutch knocking about if you're interested?

It's not new, but pulled well for me. I can get some pics later on if you're interested?

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...

 Joking aside my car was putting out pretty much standard power when i bought the clutch. The intention was to increase the power at a later stage, which i never actually did. So the clutch shouldn't have fallen apart.

I don't know too much about Spec, the clutch was on the car when I got it. I have no problems with it at all though. I've got to measure the friction plates to see how much life is left in it before I properly sell it.

I did one track day in the car, running at an estimated 280 flybhp and the clutch handled it superbly, no slipping and didn't fall apart.

Just my experience.

not too expensive from toyota, i got the friction plate and and release bearing for under £120, i had a TRD pressure plate, but the parts guy said i'd not have been much more for a full kit, also, mention you're a member of imoc, i get 15% discount at my local toyota place :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

I bought a standard Exedy clutch kit from a supplier on ebay for £110...propperly battered the fk out of for nearly 2 years without fault or any slipping at all...when you replace your clutch you should check to see if the flywheell needs re-facing. Smed why don't you get a new friction plate, what make is it matey?

I've got an OS Giken twin plate now
So spec is surplus to requirements. The tech team at Spec sent me the tolerances for the friction plate, so depending on that, I'll decide what its worth.
