Hi guys the arches are finally complete. I will run the group buy till next weekend, it will close midnight of the 23rd then I will start emailing people so I can send paypal invoices. If you wish to be added onto the group buy or drop out let me know and I will change the list. Any questions, comments, suggestions as always are welcome.

Here are the photos:

The arches have been added to our demo car, they have been taped on but the photos give you a good idea of what they'll look like once installed correctly.

Wheel arches

Post by peterjf »

I am interested in a set of these, how much wider than standard will they allow the track to be. Can they be riveted/bolted to body work? Any option of black gel coat?

The arches are around 3 inches wide, not sure what size wheels/tyres you can get on we are waiting on feedback from this group buy. Yes the can be riveted and yes we can do them in black :thumleft:

Hi guys.

Some new photos from one of our happy customers. These photos are 'dry fitting' of the arches the owner is taking the car to his body shop soon to have them chopped and blended into the kit. These will give you an idea of what they'll eventually look like, i'll post more photos up as and when I receive them.

The owner is scotty1982 from here :)

My car! yippee! \:D/

Just so everyone knows, these dont sit as snug on my car due to the border bumper, skirts and spats. They will need to be trimmed slightly but once the car is at the bodyshop i intend to get as many progress shots as i can to show what is needed to be done!

But i am very happy with the quality of the items :thumleft:

Thanks mate, that means alot to me! :thumright:

Yes, ill be keeping the wheels (cost me a small fortune to have them referbed!) Once the arches are cut to sit flush i can get a more accurite measurement of what size spacers ill need. Im going to have a go at this tomorrow!

Ok sweet, What size are your rear tyres? Let me know what size spacers you decide to go for. My MR2 is border kitted as well so mine will probably need similar spacers to you.
Also what wiper converter kit did you use?

Added some cutting and re-fitting pics to my build thread.

White car looks really good :thumleft:

Could you tell us what you have been quoted to fit and blend the arches?

PS : Ben - can I take Formysin's set at the group buy price? If so please send me an invoice/let me know how to pay. Thanks :thumleft:

No worries. If you get time ask your friend what he thinks the job would be worth if you weren't being charged mate's rates. I just want to get a ballpark figure for when I come to getting the job done myself

Scotty,

Are you having all 4 of the original arches cut out then? If so, would you mind taking pics of the whole process :)

Also you say you'll need 20mm and 60mm spacers. Will that be the same for people running standard rev3 wheels?

Where are you getting the spacers from?

Cheers
