Doesn't look like a respray to me, the engine bay is the same colour.

As it happens, it turned out to be the factory colour.
Although how for a UK car I'll never know!

I know this is an old post, but would just like to correct some obvious errors.

I have a Mica Orange MR2, T Bar which is a UK Spec car. It's Reg Date is March '99, and here's a pic of my Baby:

Care to post a photo of the VIN plate? That'll put the whole thing to bed - would show factory colour and market.

Bottom line first section shows the colour code 3L1 and the JT1 start to the frame number denotes Europe/UK market, imports start SW20 :wink:

Putting your Frame number into the Toyota EPC shows it was actually built in March 1998 :wink:
