No idea. I never really looked into them as they tend to be more expensive than the normal discs, and seeing as this is done as a "budget" kit, it made sense to leave disc selection up to the individual.

I was just wondering because NoddE say there was a good deal on them, kind of read like he'd found a source?

Well it might not be a good deal if the discs are rubbish, probably some china stuff as it seems to be a noname disc, but they were so cheap that I can not refuse to try them. I got one set on auction for £70 and the other for buy it now price (£175). Search for 'supra mk4 front discs' on ebay uk and you will probably know which I mean, dont have the url right now as im texting from my mobile :)

I believe it will be these then: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MK4- ... 230db077bc

I have looked at them before and I think a few other people have. Even if the disc is crap, if the bell is good you can get a good disc on it later on.

Oh yeah, noticed them before but wasn't thinking - look like they might do the job ok, not proper rotors but usable I expect. :thumleft:

Might not have a common rotor PCD though.

Paid now, sorry for the delay:(

Any tip on cheap discs. Dont want any fancy drilled, slotted, pink bling, just some regular blank round things that would stop my car at the track.
Drilled and/or Slotted discs just cracks easier and wears down the pads faster.

Yeah no common disc hole, I think they were around 7.2 inch/182mm, but there should not be a problem to have custom holes drilled in other discs later. Just take them to a machine shop :) my first idea was to get regular rx8 discs and machine of the hat, but I think the design of the rx8 discs will stop this from happening as they miss alot of material just outside the hat where the aluminum hat rests against the disc, I mean that the disc surface is not flat all the way to the hat. Can anyone measure the inner diameter of the actual flat brake surface on the rx8 discs?

No probs mate, Money recieved.

All orders placed for parts and fittings, so just waiting on them to come in.

Will update as they arrive.

As for discs, I just used some from a Motor Factor with some Mintex pads. I was never disappointed with them and they did some serious stopping when I was being naughty on the roads.

Ant

Not sure how effective it would be for you guys across the pond.... but this guy makes some GREAT rotors.

Edit: Apparently I'm too nooby to post links. It's adamsrotors . com

He is very big in the Audi community. He can make rotors for any OEM application. He is doing my rears for $250 shipped. He is matching them to the rotors on my front BBK. They are a drill/drill/slot pattern, zinc dipped, machine matched with black hubs.

$250/pair. I THINK the center paint is a $50 option. I know he does 2-piece replacements for Brembo and Stoptech... not sure about for OEMs. He's pretty quick to respond if you shoot him an email.
