16" rear wheels that look stock?

Post by Quigonjay »

anybody know of a 16x7.5 or 16x8 alloy that looks like my stock 15" wheels?
with the price of track day tyres these days, when my 888's wear out i'm going to go with the lotus spec yokohama advan neova (the ones with a tread pattern that look like yoko paradas)
i think they where for the mk1 elise and come in 195/50/15 and 225/45/16 so need a 16" rear
my local garage is a lotus specialist and can get me these cheaper than i can get r888's or any other track tyre
spoke to steve horrocks a while back and he mentioned a jeep alloy that fits but had a look around on fleabay and cant find anything similar looking
cheers

THe mk1 elise came with Speedline supertorismo wheels. I sold a set recently

But I will warn you that 16" tyres are very expensive. Even more than 18". I have a set of staggered Sparco's on mine in 16" form and tyre prices are insane :?

i already have a set of 16" wheels with road tyres on
my stock ones have 15" r888's, next i want the neovas and my garage can get me a set of neovas 195/50/15 and 225/45/16 cheaper than i can get any 15" track tyres, i can probably aquire the wheels and it will still be cheaper

i have skyeline GT-R R32 alloys on my car and they could pass for stock. i think there a 7.5j they are a sort of anthrecite colour standard but you could paint them ive had mine done gloss black but there on a highley modded ( bodywork wise) car. they look quite subtle

Nissan 200sx rims are virtually identical in 16" but think they are only 7j?

i think i know the ones you mean, it is an option i guess but i would rather have at least a 7.5" wide rim for 225/45/16 tyre
