What a supercharged MR2 should have sounded like from factory

Post by cartledge_uk »

Its finally running and at idle with thanks to greg (nighthawk) for the wiring help (and some early help from MartG)

It needs some work, as you can hear, the charger whine is louder than the exhaust and currently will fail track day/MSA noise levels

oh, and thats only the small crank pulley

a few reasons.

Rubbish camera.
Because its a larger charger unit to standard, one from a supra so will sound different.
I was also trying to diagnose an air leak so the charger is actually disconnected from the intake system In this video. Deceptive I know, but I love the whine of a roots charger.

It should be a fair bit quieter when its plumbed in, but it will be loud
